Like Taiwan, Austria lacks natural resources; however, through the hard working spirit of the people, Austria created an economic miracle of prosperity. At the Austrian National Day banquet held recently, Director Albin Mauritz from the Austrian Office in Taipei particularly expatiated on the relationship of the two countries. Deputy Foreign Minister François Chih-Chung Wu also expounded on the results of the cooperation and exchange between the two governments and peoples.
This year is the 93rd year of the foundation of the Republic of Turkey. However, a military coup broke out on July 15th this year. Although the unrest was quelled the next day, President Erdoğan and Representative Mr. Ismet Erikan from the Turkish Trade Office in Taipei both expounded upon the situation regarding the Turkish government at the Turkish Republic Day banquet. Meanwhile, Deputy Minister Javier Ching-shan Hou explained the cooperation and exchanges between the two countries.
Taiwan European Film Festival (TEFF) is co-hosted by the European Economic and Trade Office (EETO) and Infine Art and Culture Exchange (INFINE). Assisted by the pertinent governmental institutions of Taiwan and the EETO, the festival has recently presented 16 diverse films from around Europe in 30 cities across Taiwan. Through the films, the festival hopes to expand Taiwanese people’s knowledge about the diversity of Europe. The audience has free access to the films.
