"119" is the emergency hotline for fire, rescue, and various disaster assistance. National Fire Agency was established on March 1, 1995, and in the same year they designated January 19th (119) as "Firefighter Festival." In commemoration of the Firefighter Festival, Taipei City Fire Department organizes fire prevention awareness activities annually, emphasizing the importance of fire prevention and disaster preparedness.

This year marks the 119th anniversary of the foundation of Taipei City Hospital Zhongxing Branch. The Taipei City Fire Department's Fourth District HQ, in collaboration with the Taipei City Hospital Zhongxing Branch, hold the "119th anniversary of Taipei City Hospital Zhongxing Branch, and Datong District community disaster preparedness carnival" event. The date is deliberately set on January 19th (Friday) from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The public are welcome to show their support for firefighters and healthcare professionals!

In addition to stage performances and quizzes on disaster prevention knowledge, the event also features a disaster preparedness experience zone. The Fire Department provides booths for experiences such as "Residential Lifesaving Devices," "Residential Fire Safety," "CPR Experience," "Junior Firefighter Training," "Preventing CO Poisoning," "Earthquake Defense," and "Display of Mass Casualty Equipment Vehicles." Additionally, Zhongxing Branch also provides information on "Advance Care Planning (ACP)," "Medication Safety," "Healthy Eating," "Wellness and Healthcare," "Cancer Screenings," and "Smoking Cessation Opportunities" to educate the public about healthcare.

The Fire Department states that the outstanding quality of Emergency Medical Services in Taipei City, saving countless lives, relies on the technical integration of pre-hospital emergency services and in-hospital emergency departments. Special thanks are extended to the Taipei City Hospital Zhongxing Branch and various medical institutions for their long-term assistance. It encourages us to continuously enhance the quality of emergency medical services, provide patients with the most appropriate first aid treatment and safeguard the lives and property safety of our fellow citizens.
