Reservation for Second COVID-19 Vaccine Shots (AZ, Moderna) Begins

Taipei City Government announced that bookings for second AstraZeneca (AZ) and Moderna COVID-19 vaccine shot is now available to the public!
 
A total of 11 hospitals and clinics across Taipei City will open up registration for AZ vaccine second shots between September 28 and October 1. A total of 4,000 vaccine shots will be available. Those eligible include individuals qualifying for government-funded COVID-19 vaccination and whose first shot was administered 70 days ago or longer.
 
The Department of Health (DOH) remarked that the 11 hospitals and clinics include: Chang Gung Memorial Hospital; Cathay General Hospital; Mackay Memorial Hospital; Tri-service General Hospital; Koo Foundation Hospital; Guandu Hospital, and Taipei City Hospital (Zhongxing, Zhongxiao, Renai, Heping, and Yangming branches). Registration are accepted at the website of the respective hospital. Those successfully making appointments should bring their vaccination record card and NHI card with them when they show up for the appointment.
 
For elders (70 years old or above) and indigenous senior citizens (60 years old or above), bookings for second Moderna shot is also available. Details are as below:

  1. Booking time: September 28 – 29, 9 AM – 5 PM.
  2. Eligibility: Senior citizens (birthdate earlier than December 31, 1951) and indigenous elders (birthdate before December 31, 1961) who received their first shot (Moderna) before July 16. These include citizens with residency established in Taipei City; those who received their first shot in Taipei but with residency established in other municipalities, and legal resident aliens.

  4. Expected dates of vaccination appointment: October 1 ~ 7
  5. Vaccination Venues: 241 COVID-19 vaccination partner clinics and hospitals in Taipei City; 32 Taipei City Hospital Branches and Outpatient Departments.
 
For elders aged 70 or above who are unable to make reservation via the online booking system can call any of the 12 district offices to register over phone between October 7 and 8. DOH will arrange vaccination appointments at designated hospitals between October 13 and 15.
