A Brand New Taipei City in 2016. January issue of Taipei Pictorial introduces a serious of Ko Wen-je’s new policies.

Until 2016, new city government team has taken the office for a year and launched a series of new policies to improve Taipei City. Department of Information and Tourism, Taipei City Government designed the “2016 Brand New Taipei City” cover story in January issue of Taipei Pictorial; hence to allow readers to feel city government’s boldness and determination for development. This issue introduces a series of city government’s new policies, such as children will no longer need to do winter and summer vacations’ homework, paying parking fee with mobile APP can enjoy a 5% discount, same-sex couples can do marriage registration at Household Registration offices, etc. It is really happy to live in Taipei City.
According to Pei-chun Hsieh, Division Chief of Media Relation and Publications Division, Department of Information and Tourism, in 2016, Taipei City has declared to be a World Design Capital. Improving every citizen’s daily life is one kind of design.
