March 3, 2012 | Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-Bin led a delegation to London, Barcelona, Hamburg and Berlin to better understand these cities’ innovative urban renewal policies and to find inspiration for Taipei’s ongoing urban redevelopment programs. The visit ended on March 14. |
May 15, 2012 | In the FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Award 2012, Taipei City Government’s “Gongguan Riverside Integrated Development Plan” and “Zhongxiao Fuxing Station (Sogo)“were runners-up in the Public Infrastructures/Amenities Category and the Retail Category by the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI), respectively. Taipei City Secretary-General Chen Yeong-Ren accepted the awards on behalf of Taipei City. The visit ended on May 18. |

June 30, 2012 | The Taipei City Government introduced the Government Doc Online Management System Installation Project in all 162 departments and agencies (including two municipal colleges). |
August 31, 2012 | Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-Bin led a delegation on a fact-finding mission to Paris, London, and Helsinki. During the visit to Helsinki, Hau also met with Helsinki Mayor Jussi Pajunen and signed the Friendship City MOU. The visit concluded on September 11. |
October 1, 2012 | Taipei Deputy Mayor Chen Hsiung-Wen flew to Jakarta for the 4th United Cities and Local Government Conference-Asia Pacific Region, UCLG-ASPAG. The Conference concluded on October 6. |
November 21, 2012 | Taipei Deputy Mayor Chen Wei-Zen traveled to Al Ain in Abu Dhabi for the 2012 International Awards for Livable Communities. Taipei took home silver and bronze medals in Whole City and Project categories, respectively. |
