January 12, 2021	To meet practical requirements, Taipei City Government issued a letter regarding the amendment of Taipei City’s Government Records Management Practice Guidelines to include an electronic record management mechanism.
January 20,2021	The Taipei City Government Secretariat hosted 133 sessions of Taipei City’s Central Epidemic Command Center Press Conferences in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. More sessions will be hosted when necessary.
February 18, 2021	The Taipei City Government issued a letter regarding the Taipei City Government’s 2021 Implementation Plan for Promoting the Digitization of Official Documents.
February 25, 2021	The Taipei City Government Secretariat held a press conference on Taipei City’s Post-pandemic Industrial Digital Transformation Policy Whitepaper.
March 5, 2021	The Taipei City Government issued a letter regarding an amendment of Taipei City Government’s Document Processing Implementation Directions; the amendment incorporates concepts such as digitization and document simplification into the regulations to meet practical requirements.
March 20, 2021	The Taipei City Government Secretariat held Taipei City Government’s Commissioner, Chief, and Director Exchange Event. Mayor Ko Wen-je personally led the commissioners, chiefs, and directors of all Taipei City Government’s first-level departments and agencies to visit Hsinchu County and held a municipal exchange seminar.
March 26, 2021	The mayor of Taipei City, Mayor Ko Wen-je, and the mayor of Daegu City, Mayor Kwon Young-jin, celebrated the tenth anniversary of their sister city alliance through a video conference, during which a “Reaffirmation of Sister City Relationship Agreement” was also signed.
June 9, 2021	The Taipei City Government Secretariat held a video conference to explain Taipei City’s epidemic prevention and relief policies to representatives of foreign organizations and chambers of commerce in Taiwan. Taipei City Mayor Ko Wen-je delivered a speech during the meeting, and the Deputy Chairperson of Taipei City’s International Affairs Advisory Council (Amb. Tai-chu Chou), the Vice President of Taipei City United Hospital (Mr. Chia-Chen Hsu), the Deputy Commissioner of Taipei City’s Department of Economic Development (Ms. Hsin-Pei Wu), and the Deputy Commissioner of Taipei City’s Department of Finance (Ms. Hsiao-Lan Hu), all attended the meeting and conducted relevant briefings through presentations.
July 26, 2021	Taipei City Mayor Ko Wen-je and the mayor of its sister city Prague, Mayor Zdeněk Hřib, co-hosted the Taipei–Prague bilateral video conference meeting, during which topics such as cultural exchange, pandemic prevention, and economic and trade cooperation were extensively discussed.
July 30, 2021	Taipei City Mayor Ko Wen-je and the mayor of Houston City, Mayor Sylvester Turner, celebrated the 60th anniversary of a sister city alliance through a video conference meeting, during which a “Reaffirmation of Sister City Relationship Agreement” was also signed.
August 30, 2021	The new Director of the American Institute in Taiwan, Ms. Sandra Oudkirk, met with Mayor Ko Wen-je and extensively discussed topics such as postpandemic industry development, education, and cultural cooperation.
September 8, 2021	Taipei City Mayor Ko Wen-je was invited to participate in a video conference meeting titled the “2021 Asia Pacific Cities Summit, APCS Special Edition, Mayors Forum,” which was held in Brisbane, Australia; Amb. Tai-chu Chou, the Commissioner of Taipei City Government’s Department of Civil Servant Development, participated in the Summit’s City Leadership Forum as a representative of Taipei City Government; Dr Hsin-Ke Lu, the Commissioner of Taipei City Government’s Department of Information Technology, served as speaker for the Summit’s “Smart City” sub-forum. The summit ended on September 10, 2021.
September 11, 2021	The Taipei City Government issued a letter regarding the amendment of Taipei City Government’s 2021 Implementation Plan for Promoting the Digitization of Official Documents. It increased the percentage of overall online approval signed for paper documents to 88%. The percentage of yearly online approval signed for paper documents by various departments and agencies was 92.05%, and the online approval signed for official e-documents was 99.06%, indicating the effective implementation of official document digitization policies.
September 14, 2021	Taipei City donated a fire truck to Belmopan, a sister city of Taipei City. The fire truck was accepted by Belmopan City Mayor, Sheran Palaci, on behalf of the city.
September 22, 2021	Taipei City Government issued a letter regarding the amendment of the Supplementary Regulations for the Purchase and Leasing of Official Vehicles by the Departments and Agencies of Taipei City Government and Municipal Schools, and established the Guidelines for the Management of Official Vehicle Use of Taipei City Government, clarifying the principles for vehicle purchase and providing details related to affairs such as application for dispatch, tax, insurance, and daily maintenance.
October 8, 2021	Taipei City Mayor and the mayor of the sister city Vilnius, Remigijus Šimašius, held a video conference to exchange views on municipal governance experiences.
October 21, 2021	The Taipei City Government issued amendments to the Guidelines Related to Public Access to the Archives of Taipei City Government, its Departments and Agencies, and its Affiliated Colleges and Universities, providing a full-scale online application service to enhance application efficiency.
October 26, 2021	The Taipei City Government Secretariat held the 2021 Annual Training on Archive Management by Video Courses and Practice of System Operation. Up until November 26, 557 participants took part in these training sessions, and a total of 19 training sessions were held.
November 1, 2021	In response to digital transformation, Taipei City Government launched Remote Video and Telephone Legal Professional Consulting Services to provide various choices to the public and to enhance the efficiency, quality, and convenience of relevant digital services.
November 3, 2021	The official launch of the Taipei City Hall Building Co-Working Space was held. The Space has 78 seats and 3 video conferencing rooms, which can be used by the heads and colleagues of departments and agencies outside City Government for the purpose of official business within City Hall, or new project offices and temporary task groups for the purpose of establishment and operation within City Hall.
November 29, 2021	The Taipei City Government Secretariat oversaw the authentication of expired official City Government (department) documents dated 1983 to 1987, which fit the criteria for permanent archival transfer. After a review by the National Archives Administration, 3 files were transferred to the National Archives, 108 files were permanently archived by relevant authorities, and 66 files were temporarily archived by relevant agencies. This improved the overall efficiency of file cleaning.
December 1, 2021	Taipei City Mayor Ko Wen-je attended the 2021 Taipei–Shanghai City Forum video conference meeting and delivered a speech. Mayor Ko also witnessed the signing of memoranda of understanding between the two cities in the areas of innovation and technology, zoos, and national orchestras together with the Mayor of Shanghai City, Gong Zheng.
December 2, 2021	Taipei City Mayor Ko Wen-je and the mayor of Oklahoma City, Mayor David Holt, celebrated the 40th anniversary of a sister city affiliation through a video conference meeting, during which a “Reaffirmation of Sister City Relationship Agreement” was also signed.
December 20, 2021	Taipei City Government held the physical launch of Taipei City’s Post-pandemic Industrial Digital Transformation Policy,which ran until December 29.
December 24, 2021	The Taipei City Government Secretariat hosted the Press Conference on Mayor's 7th Inauguration Anniversary,during which Mayor Ko Wen-je led heads of first-level departments and agencies in presenting the governance achievements of Taipei City Government to the public.
