January 2,2018The Taipei City Government has launched the “Taipei City Government Electronic Bulletin” website. All government notices are automatically edited, produced, and published by the system.
January 27,2018Taipei City Mayor Ko Wen-Je led a delegation to visit local politicians and major city infrastructure in Amsterdam, Utrecht, Almere, and Eindhoven in the Netherlands, Brussels in Belgium, Warsaw in Poland, and Istanbul in Turkey.
February 22,2018The Taipei City Government proclaimed the “Taipei City Government 2018 Implementation Program of e-Official Documents for Energy Conservation and Paper-use Reduction.” In 2018, the percentage of e-official documents approved for upload online by all levels of city governmental agencies reached 87.05% and the percentage of e-conferences reached 95.89%, with the subsequent paper procurement amount reduced by 6.9%, demonstrating effective implementation of the program.
February 23,2018Kim Seung-Su, Vice Mayor of Daegu City, sister city of Taipei City, led a delegation to visit the Taipei City Government. The group also attended the opening ceremony of the Taipei Lantern Festival on the evening of February 24.
March 7,2018The National Archives Administration of the National Development Council received the “Summary Plan for Archival of Taipei City Government Permanent Records by Year.” According to the plan, all relevant agencies must complete appraisal of permanent records for archival generated prior to December 31, 1992, within 6 years. This plan serves to improve the efficiency of transferring documents scheduled for archival.
March 25,2018The Secretariat held a social event for the Taipei City Government department commissioners. Mayor Ko led commissioners of first-level agencies of the Taipei City Government to visit Taichung City and hosted conferences to exchange with other municipal administrators.
March 27,2018The Taipei City Government completed the outcome report of the “Process Simplification and Organization Redevelopment Promotion Projects (2015–2017) of the Taipei City Government” to establish the basis for process simplification.
March 27,2018The United Nations expert groups on sustainable development goals visited the Taipei City Government.
March 30,2018The Secretariat transferred the international affair archives from 1956 to 1991 to the National Archives Administration of the National Development Council for archival. A total of 22 cases and 26 volumes were transferred.
April 23,2018The Secretariat transferred the entrusted city government archives from 1960 to 1998 to the Department of Personnel of the Taipei City Government. As of April 25, these included a total of 10,099 cases (17,409 volumes).
May 9,2018The Taipei City Government awarded an Honorary Citizenship Certificate to Dato’ Sri Prof. Dr. Tahir, the Indonesian president’s special investment envoy to Taiwan.
May 17,2018A delegation led by Lim Jong-Chul, Assistant Governor of Economy of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government, South Korea, visited the Taipei City Government.
June 6,2018Taipei City Mayor Ko Wen-Je signed a “Memorandum of Understanding Between The City of Eindhoven, The Netherlands, and The City of Taipei, The Republic of China” with Eindhoven Mayor John Jorritsma.
July 29,2018The Secretariat held a social event for the Taipei City Government department commissioners. Mayor Ko led commissioners of first-level agencies of the Taipei City Government to visit Hsinchu City and participated in exchanges with other municipal administrators.
July 30,2018A delegation led by the Governor of Guam Eddie Calvo visited the Taipei City Government and signed a “Letter of Agreement for Friendly Exchanges of Economy, Tourism, and Culture Between The Island of Guam, and Taipei City, Republic of China (Taiwan).”
 
August 7,2018The Secretariat cooperated with the Department of Information Technology and the Research, Development, and Evaluation Commission to launch a new governmental documentation system.
August 23,2018Taipei City and Castries City of St. Lucia became sister cities after an exchange of letters.
August 30,2018Jill Day, Deputy Mayor of Wellington (a partner city of Taipei City), New Zealand, was invited as a speaker to the 2018 Taipei International Water Environment Forum. She also led a group of Māori performers as the opening ceremony guests of the forum.
September 4,2018The Secretariat hosted the opening ceremony for Global Taipei. Taipei City Mayor Ko Wen-Je, City of Gold Coast (sister city of Taipei City) Mayor Tom Tate from Australia, an exchange and training group composed of Gyeonggi Provincial Government public servants (partner city of Taipei City), and approximately 40 representatives of the Australian Office in Taipei and Korean Mission in Taipei jointly attended the ceremony.
 
September 27,2018A delegation team led by Mayor Ernesto Muyshondt of San Salvador (a sister city of Taipei City), El Salvador, visited the Taipei City Government.
November 6,2018Almere City Mayor Franc Weerwind and his delegation from Holland Circular Economy visited the Taipei City Government.
November 7,2018Councillor Iona Pannett of Wellington City, New Zealand, a partner city of Taipei City, led a delegation to visit the Taipei City Government.
November 9,2018For the first ever Oslo Freedom Forum in Asia, the Taipei City Government hosted a welcome banquet for approximately 80 attendees.
November 15,2018City of Jakarta Deputy Governor for Trade, Industry, and Transportation Sutanto Soehodho led a delegation to visit the Taipei City Government.
December 3,2018The Secretariat established a temporary location for Dangerous and Old Building Consultation Services to help the Department of Urban Development promote policy regarding the re-habilitation of dangerous and old buildings.
December 20,2018The Taipei Citi Government hosted the 2018 Taipei–Shanghai City Forum and signed three memorandums of understanding on cooperation in sports, cinematic development, and regional administration exchanges.
December 25,2018The management agency of the public land owned by the Taipei City Government at No. 725, First Subsection, Section Changchun, Zhongshan District, originally managed by the Secretariat was re-registered to the Department of Finance of the Taipei City Government (processed according to Letter No. 1076008107 Fu-Cai-Guan-Zi of the Taipei City Government on December 25, 2018)
