February 19, 2008From Taipei's sister city Ulan Bator, Mongolia, Director of the Mayor's Office Tsedenlsh Boldsaikhan led a troupe of 21 performers on a visit toTaipei City from February 19 to 23 for cultural exchange and to celebrate the 10th anniversary of sister-city ties between the two cities.
April 22, 2008Mayor Hau Lung-bin presented certificates of appreciation to acknowledge 544 individuals of the Taipei Bar Association, the Taipei Architects Association, and the Taipei Land Attorney Association for the pro bono services they provided to Taipei City residents.
June 23, 2008Mayor Hau Lung-bin went to Shanghai from June 23 to 27 to witness the contract-signing ceremony of the Shanghai 2010 World Exposition.

July 14, 2008Taipei City Government Advisory officer Chu Wei-kuo attended the UCLG-ASPAC meeting in Pattaya, Thailand.
July 29, 2008 The Taipei City Secretariat and National Archives Management jointly hosted two Workshops on the Categorization and Compilation of the Archives of City and County Governments. 
August 4, 2008Taipei City Government Advisory officer Chu Wei-kuo went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from August 4 to 6 for the 3rd working-level meeting of the Asia Network of Major Cities 21.
August 6, 2008Commissioner Yeh Ching-yuan and three other members of the Law and Regulation Commission, Taipei City, visited Australia from August 6 to 18 to study the development of local self-government. 
August 23, 2008 Mayor Hau Lung-bin led a delegation to New York City and Boston, visiting New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg for exchanges of administrative experience while on a study tour from August 23 to September 2 on urban renewal, transportation management, waterfront municipal development and the 311 Call Center.
October 19, 2008 Taipei City Government Advisory officer Chu Wei-kuo went to Sydney, Australia, for a UCLG-ASPAC meeting from October 19 to 23. 
November 18, 2008 Panama City Mayor Juan Carlos Navarro came to Taiwan from November 18 to 23, visiting Mayor Hau Lung-bin and learning about the development of Taipei City under the present administration.
November 19, 2008 Taipei City Government Deputy Secretary-General Chen Yeong-ren led a delegation to Kuala Lumpur from November 19 to 22 for the 7th assembly of the Asian Network of Major Cities 21 and cultural exhibitions and performances. 
November 25, 2008 Commissioner Yeh Ching-yuan of the Law and Regulation Commission, Taipei City, went to Istanbul, Turkey, from November 25 to December 2 for the UCLG Council and Executive Bureau Meeting. 
December 4, 2008 Taipei City and Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, made a joint declaration of sister city-hood at a signing ceremony that included the donation of four ambulances by Taipei City.
