Bo Mønsted, Director of the Trade Council of Denmark, Visits Mayor Ko

Bo Mønsted, Director of the Trade Council of Denmark, led a delegation to Taipei City Hall on February 13 to visit Wen-Je Ko, Mayor of Taipei. In the meeting, the two parties exchanged opinions on topics such as challenges for the city, carbon reduction, and offshore wind power.
 
Mayor Ko received Director Mønsted's delegation and expressed that although Taiwan and Denmark do not share official diplomatic relations, he hoped that cooperation and interaction between Taipei and Danish cities can improve and expand their relationship. The Mayor also hopes to learn from Denmark’s experiences with wind power as an example of a circular economy for Taipei.
 
Director Mønsted thanked the Mayor for making time for this meeting. In addition to introducing the status of investments in offshore wind power by Danish enterprises in Taiwan, he shared how renewable energy is promoted in the capital city of Copenhagen. He hopes to increase future cooperation between Taipei and Danish enterprises in the circular economy and related areas, and he invited Mayor Ko to visit Denmark.
