2022 Mayor’s Year-End Appreciation Banquet

2022 Mayor’s Year-End Appreciation Banquet

Presided over by Mayor Ko Wen-Je, more than a hundred officials including the heads of the first-level agencies of Taipei City Government, representatives of relevant units, ambassadors to Taiwan, and the members of the International Affairs Advisory Council attended the 2022 Year-End Appreciation Banquet on December 14.

In Mayor Ko’s speech, he thanked envoys for their support for Taipei City Government over the past 8 years and for their assistance in creating a more progressive and splendid Taipei. He also wished all of the distinguished guests a happy New Year.

The Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Ambassador to Taiwan Andrea Clare Bowman delivered a speech hailing Taipei as a thriving hub for business, industrial, educational, and social events in Taiwan. This positive perception of Taipei encourages Taiwan’s allies to demonstrate their firm friendship with Taiwan through exchange and visits, reaffirming Taipei as a safe city in which foreigners can live comfortably. Many ambassadors and expatriates regard Taipei as their second home, and many even remained in Taipei for Christmas.
