What is the International Affairs Advisory Council of Taipei City Government?

The mission of the International Affairs Advisory Council (IAAC) is to strengthen Taipei’s presence in the international community and to promote city diplomacy.

The IAAC is chaired by the Mayor of Taipei, and its members include experts, scholars, and legislators, all with expertise and experiences in international affairs, as well as officials representing the Taipei City Government and its various departments.

The IAAC works to develop and support the implementation of Taipei City Government’s policies on international affairs, and to offer advice on international strategy. It also coordinates international activities organized or supported by the City Government, suggests ways to collaborate with non-governmental organizations on international events, and enhances Taipei City’s role in international cooperation.
