Celebrating the Eid: Shelter Factory Holds Raffle, Leave-a-note Event

To celebrate Eid al-Fitr, the Shelter Factory has organized a raffle event at the ENJOY Restaurant, which is located on the first floor of city hall. Customers who make purchases of NT$100 or more at the restaurant will have a chance to win various prizes made by the Shelter Factory!

Deputy Mayor Tsai Ping-kun noted that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the city government has been unable to organize major events celebrating the Eid for Muslim migrant workers this year. That is why the ENJOY Restaurant will hold a leave-a-well-wishing-note activity on the day of the Eid, allowing citizens and city staff to take part in celebrating the festival.

Those who participate in the leave-a-note activity and spend NT$100 or more to purchase shelter factory merchandise on site will be eligible for the raffle. The top prize is a discount of NT$100! Only 100 raffle tickets are available each day. The event will conclude at 1:30 PM on May 29.

Commissioner Chen Hsin-yu from the Department of Labor also expressed her support for shelter factory products. She noted that the city government is providing financial assistance to the institution which has been hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the most important help for the shelter factory is the support of consumers. She hopes that the public and city hall employees can shop at the restaurant, leave a note, and take part in the raffle. The agency is expected to hold promotional events for the shelter factory in the second half of the year.

Taipei’s shelter factory has outlets across the city, with some situated near MRT stations. The institution offers a wide range of products – from food to travel goods. For those who do not want to leave their home, an alternative is to visit the factory’s online site: https://ppt.cc/fw7mLx
