2017.10.27(FRI) 【TSO Varga Exclusive】Taipei Symphony Orchestra Pre-tour  Concert

Returning after 25 years! The Taipei Symphony Orchestra returns to American soil for their U.S. concert tour. Prior to their journey abroad, the TSO gives local audiences a first listen to the works featured on the tour. Winner of the Taipei Symphony Orchestra’s first Young Talent Competition and recipient of an Avery Fisher Career Grant and the 2017 Lincoln Center Award for Emerging artists, violinist Paul Huang is recognized on an international scale. In this program, he will be performing Dvořák’s violin concerto, op. 53. The program will begin with the world premiere of a commissioned work from Taiwanese composer Ching-Wen Chao, and closes with Tchaikovsky’s magnificent fourth symphony, revealing the expressiveness and versatility of the Taipei Symphony Orchestra.
