In collaboration with the national campaign for writing official documents horizontally, the writing style of official letters at all Taipei City bodies and school systems were unified accordingly. Electronic exchanges also began with central government organs and other city/ county governments.
March 1, 2005
The newly renovated Joint Service Center, TCG, was inaugurated. To better service the general public, in resident were the Consumer Ombudsman and the Consumer Service Center.
March 2, 2005
Mayor Ma Ying-jeou led a delegation in name of Healthy City, and visited the Japanese cities of Tokyo and Yokohama on a four-day trip.
April 25, 2005
Advisor Ou Chin-der and others attended the UCLG-ASPAC Congress organized at Daejeon, Korea, and spoke of Taipei 's achievements and outlook on constructing a WIFI city.
August 14, 2005
Mayor Carlos Rivas Zamora of San Salvador, El Salvador, and his wife arrived for a 6-day visit in Taipei.
September 9, 2005
Taipei city government executed the national defense drill (Wanan No.28) for the Northern Region by implementing a national air-raid evacuation drill.
September 30, 2005
Deputy Mayor Yeh Ching-chuan departed for Korea to attend the 3-day Seoul World Mayors Forum 2005.
